Gwerin | Cornish Dance

The sun shone in Redruth where we enjoyed dancing in the Murdoch Day parade, and our new dancers Elowen, Ailla and Hazel danced out with us for the first time. They smashed it! 

We had a great time dancing at Aberfest, the Breton/Cornish festival which takes place at Easter. The festival changes location each year, even years in Cornwall and odd years in Brittany. Contingents of Breton and Cornish people cross the channel in a celebration of cultural exchange and friendship. 

After what's felt like months of rain it was fantastic to be out dancing in the sunshine at Redruth's St Piran's Day celebrations. We danced in the parade and then by the Wellyboot Dogs in Tatey Court. It was also the first outing for our new costumes!

We had great fun dancing in the sunshine at Cornwall Folk Festival this year. 

What a great day dancing on Charlestown Harbour as part of their summer programme of entertainment in partnership with Lowender. 

We had a brilliant time performing at Tredegar House Folk Fetival in Newport, Wales. The sun shone and we experienced such an incredible array of international folk dance. Roll on 2026!
